Jesus Christ is exalted ć¼ He reigns!
This truth changes everything. It changes how our schools are run, how our communities live, how we are governed, and how we pray. The ascension of Jesus Christ is not a forgotten feast. It is the heartbeat of the Christian faith and the foundation of a society that can truly be free.
In our time, Ascension Day is being silenced. On calendars, in schools, and in the public space, the kingship of Christ is increasingly being ignored. This is not neutrality. It is a rebellion against the true King.
We say: Enough!
The manifesto
Lig in Duisternis Publishers have drawn up a public confession of throne sovereignty that calls all Christians, schools, congregations, organisations, and authorities to openly acknowledge and practically honour the ascension of Jesus Christ.
The manifesto confesses:
- that Christ's ascension is the greatest enthronement in history;
- that Ascension is a political and public event that challenges all authority;
- that the church has a mandate to preach, pray, and serve with courage;
- that human existence has value because Christ took our human nature with Him into glory;
- that prayer and daily life are anchored in the reality of Christ's throne.
Sign the petition
We call on all Christians to take a clear, public stand. Sign the petition and declare together with believers across South Africa:
Jesus Christ is exalted. He is Lord. To Him belongs the dominion, the power, and the glory, now and forever.
Your signature is more than a name on a list. It is a public act of faith.
How to get involved
As an individual
Sign the petition, download the manifesto, pray as a family on Ascension Day, attend a church service, and share the message with people in your circle.
As a congregation
Celebrate Ascension Day officially, have your congregation sign the manifesto, preach on Psalm 110 and Daniel 7, and share the manifesto in congregational communications and on the church's website.
As a school
Download the manifesto and discuss it at a meeting, send it out to parents and interested parties, mark Ascension Day on the calendar, and use the manifesto as the basis for a gathering or programme.
As an organisation
Bring the manifesto to the attention of members, pray together on Ascension Day, and encourage families to celebrate the day intentionally.
